To create a new export setting based on an existing setting:
- Choose File->Export Movie.
- Click once on the setting you want to copy. (If you click twice, you’ll be able to edit the setting’s name.)
- Click the + button.
- Use the Quicktime Movie Settings dialog to specify your export settings.
- Double-click on the new setting to edit its name.
- When you’re done, click OK in the Export Settings window. A Save File dialog will appear; you can cancel if you don’t want to export your video at this time.
Note: The iPod settings do some special processing to make a file that can be viewed on iPods. If you make an export setting based on an iPod setting, the exported video will always have a .m4v file extension. iPod exports must be the correct size or they will not work on an iPod.
